Description:

Janice Lovington is sixty, elegant, powerful, and completely in control. From her private study she watches the political stage shift while casually sampling the Lilliputians that scramble across her crystal dish—tiny people no larger than grains of rice, their advanced little cities meaningless against the simple fact of her hand. What begins as a private indulgence quickly becomes something far more ambitious as Janice’s appetite for power expands beyond the personal and into the public arena. A long, multi-part giantess epic of political maneuvering, casual domination, and the intoxicating rush of absolute size superiority.

Excerpt:

Janice Lovington sat in the wide leather chair of her private study, one long leg crossed over the other. At sixty years old she still carried herself with the confident poise of a woman who knew exactly who she was and what she wanted. She stood at a full six feet tall and kept herself in excellent shape—lean muscle, elegant posture, and a sharp, striking face that could shift from a warm smile to a wicked grin in an instant.

The late afternoon sun slanted through the tall windows and caught the glossy red paint on her nails. They were short, neat, and perfectly maintained—the way she liked them. An array of dozens of tiny silver skulls accented the nail of her left ring finger.

On a massive wall screen in front of her, the news played on mute. Another report about the upcoming debate. Another clip of Kathy Simmons looking tired and reasonable while she talked about “sustainable quotas” and “long-term stability.” Janice’s mouth turned into a small, private smile.

She reached for the crystal dish on the arm of the chair. Inside, hundreds of Lilliputians no larger than two millimeters each scrambled across the smooth glass, their tiny cities and technology meaningless against the simple fact of her hand. Janice dipped two fingers into it, plucked one out, and held it up between her thumb and forefinger. The little thing kicked frantically, its mouth open in a silent scream that barely reached her ears.

“Still fighting,” she murmured, a hint of amusement in her voice. “After all this time.”

She brought it to her lips and placed it on her tongue. For a moment, she let it scramble against the warm, wet surface, then closed her teeth and bit down slowly. There was a faint, satisfying pop, followed by the familiar mild sweetness that spread across her mouth. She chewed once, twice, and swallowed. The aftertaste lingered, faintly sugary, like something that had no business tasting so good.

Janice reached into the dish again.

This time she scooped up a proper handful—twenty-five or thirty writhing Lilliputians—and let them tumble across her palm. They were barely larger than grains of rice to her, their advanced vehicles and towering buildings (which reached all of eight inches at most) utterly insignificant. Some tried to run for the edges of her hand. Others clung desperately to one another. A few simply just stood there, frozen in terror.

Janice lifted her hand and tipped them into her mouth in one smooth motion.
