"Are you sure about this?" asked Mary the moment Jason pulled open the doors of the van. The M5 Accelerator rolled out on its gurney and hissed to a stop.

"You know it's gonna be fun," he said. "It's only temporary. I'm setting it to last an hour."

"Yeah . . . but how big?" she asked. Mary moved to the side, flipped open the laptop and started to jog the emitter into position. They were sitting at the scenic overlook, the sorority house just beneath them, nestled between the trees.

"Eh, one-hundred feet tall?"

"Seriously?" she said, face turning white. "There are probably a dozen girls in that house."

"Yes," Jason said, laughing. "The more, the merrier. I'll blast you, too. Might as well enjoy it while the attention is on them."

That did sound rather nice.

As of yesterday, their funding was cut off. Not completely, just to them—the military was taking over the project. But as one last hoorah, they decided to go out with a bang. The emitter was capable of organic growth—but it ignored anything with a Y chromosome. They didn't know why, nor would they get the chance to find out. The result: A grow ray that could turn women into goddesses.

The accelerator hummed and she felt her body tremble. Growing was such fun. She'd miss it when the device was confiscated.

"Step in front," he told her once the machine had warmed up. "One last time."

She needed no coaxing, although this was the first time she'd ever grown outside of a lab setting. Her heart thundered and she licked her lips, mouth suddenly dry.

The beam was invisible, but she knew he'd already hit the EXECUTE button by the flare of warmth she felt in her extremities.

As her toes began to crowd inside her sneakers, she said, "Are you going to do the thing up here on the mountain?"

"Of course," he said.

By the time he was ready to widen the beam, she was nearing eight feet tall. Her button-up shirt was pulling snug, breasts pushing out. In another few seconds her feet would burst through the shoes, her thighs the jeans.

"It'll be a little slower from this distance," he said, lining up his shot. The house was big—all the windows were on. Maybe they were having some kind of party tonight.

Although she had reached ten feet tall in thirty seconds, it wouldn't work that way for the women inside the house. There was laser degradation the further out it went. Still, it would be fun to watch.

He hit the button, sending the blast across the entire property. If there were ladies in there, they would be affected. Mary couldn't wait to see it.
