“You know, you’re probably the only person who’s been here since the builders first put up her house.”
 
The helicopter pilot leaned over and spoke into his headset so I could hear. It was also my first helicopter ride and it wasn’t going so well. If I pretended we were still on the ground, my anxiety let up a little, but it was very disorienting being here, in this military chopper with no windows. Sure, I could see the water through the front windshield, but I had no idea where we were, how long we’d been in the air, or when we’d be landing. It was just how they wanted it.
 
But the pilot soon began making his landing approach, talking to someone on the ground that he referred to as, “East Tower”. I had no idea what that designated, nor would I recognize west, north, or south tower either. All the blue out the windshield suddenly turned to lush green and we were going down, descending onto land that looked tropical. Funny, because we’d taken off from a location that was cold enough to snow.
 
When the bird touched down and the pilot cut the rotors, I waited patiently, gathering up my few bags and personal effects. I didn’t know how long I’d be staying here, but the paper I worked for was willing to allow as much time as I needed. After all, the world didn’t get to talk to Hope Danvers that often. In fact, I would be the first person in the world who’d even seen her in the last four years. She’d gone into hiding and hiding for someone like her was a little difficult.
 
Hope became an international superstar about nine years ago when a YouTube video of her surfaced. For weeks, it was downplayed as a hoax, but over time, and after several very public appearances, Hope’s video and her story became all too true.
 
Hope became known on the internet as Lady Big. She’d always been tall, but one day, while a news team was at her college covering a story on the rising tuition rates, the cameraman caught sight of her in the background. The focus of the video quickly turns because everyone starts screaming and backing away.
 
Then the camera pans and zooms to a table outside of the campus restaurant. At first, the viewer might think that the girl who is the focus may just be standing while the others sit, but as the camera adjusts, it’s clear they are all standing, but Hope is easily two-feet taller than the next tallest.
 
Hope is panicked because she’s growing. The cameraman pans down to see her weight crush her high heels, growing feet bursting through the leather. Then, briefly up to her body but the camera only lingered there a moment because she’d burst through her clothes and her nipples were exposed.
