Description:

In the mountains of eastern Afghanistan, Captain Laura Vega carries a weapon more dangerous than any rifle: the Ascension Formula. In a remote village under Taliban control, she delivers the shimmering blue-white vials to a group of women who have endured years of oppression. One dose. Permanent. Dramatic. As the formula takes hold, Laura joins them—and the balance of power in the valley shifts forever. Intense, high-stakes size transformation with a fierce edge of liberation and revenge.

(growth formula, giantess, military, empowerment, group growth, destruction)

Excerpt:

The mountain wind cut like a knife across the jagged ridges of eastern Afghanistan. Captain Laura Vega pulled her scarf tighter over her face, the rough fabric scratching against her sunbaked skin. At thirty-two, she’d spent the last four years rotating in and out of this awful, unforgiving country, but tonight felt different. Heavier, somehow.

She crouched behind a cluster of boulders, night-vision goggles dangling from her neck. Below, in the narrow valley, the village of Kharan slept under Taliban control—mud-brick homes huddled together in the deep shadows. For two years, the women here had lived under the shadow of the old order: beatings for showing skin, executions for teaching girls how to read, marriages forced before they were women. Laura had seen too much of it—and she was determined to put an end to it.

Her earpiece crackled. “Ghost Actual, this is Raven. Codes are good. Package is unlocked. You’re clear to deliver.”

“Copy,” Laura whispered. She slipped down the slope like a shadow, her lean, athletic frame moving with practiced silence. In her pack, the most dangerous weapon she’d ever carried. At least to the Taliban. A small locked, refrigerated chest full of vials filled with shimmering blue-white liquid and a set of auto-injectors. The Ascension Formula. Echomere’s gift to the oppressed. A black-ops project no one back in Washington would ever admit.

Washington hadn’t been talking back anyway. Laura assumed there had been some kind of leadership change back home—everything was chaos now. The Ascension Formula was making too much noise across the globe and it would be years before this remote corner of the world saw any real liberation from conventional forces. These women would be lost in the shuffle. Laura hadn’t even spoken to her sister in weeks—as she suspected, Emily was probably too big to pick up a cell phone anymore.

She reached the designated safe house—a half-collapsed storage building on the edge of the village. Three women waited inside, faces hidden by burkas. The tallest of them stepped forward and lowered her veil. Zahra. Sharp dark eyes, mid-twenties, with the quiet fire of someone who had lost everything but her rage.

“You came,” Zahra said in her heavily accented English.

“I said I would.” Laura removed the vial and the injectors. “This is it, a slightly augmented formula given your . . . situation. One dose per woman to start. It spreads through contact later—milk, saliva, skin. The effects are . . . dramatic. Permanent. You understand what you’re choosing?”
